DDD conference held at the Sede Boqer Campus of the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel

Following the success of the previous eighth international conferences on Drylands, Deserts, and Desertification (DDD), the organization of the 2025 DDD Conference is now underway and the conference is scheduled to take place at the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Sede Boqer Campus, from November 30 – December 4, 2025.

Early Bird Registration will open in May 2025

There will be particular emphasis on the challenges to earth observation, ecology, economics, ecosystems, education, energy, food, health, humankind and water. *

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AND DATES:

● Abstract submission is open until 13 June 2025

● Abstracts are limited to 250 words, are to be written in English, and should include author name(s), mail and e-mail addresses, keywords, and the relevant theme. Full papers are neither accepted nor required.

● The abstracts will be reviewed by an academic committee, according to the conference timetable.

● Accepted abstracts will be assigned to a lecture according to the academic committee’s decision. At least one author per abstract is requested to register by July 17, 2025.

● Notification of acceptance will be sent by email only by July 1, 2025
